About Parwa Travel

The name “Parwa” is a Quechua word that means “Corn Flower”. It is also the name of our beloved daughter. We are from the Quechua and Andean Culture,

proud of our heritage. We consider that the best thing that has happened to us in life is having been born in the Andes and within ourselves (ayllu).

SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE QUECHUA CULTURE AND LANGUAGE

Our support for the revitalization of the Quechua Culture and Language encourages us to continue working cooperatively, as our ancestors did. In this way, our work focuses on supporting peasant communities in the Cusco and Apurímac regions.

  • In Apurímac we are working together with the YACYIC Program, which aims to raise children with wisdom and recognizing ancestral values, but also with adequate nutrition using the food resources of the area.

  • We also cooperate in the recognition of the Quechua Culture and Language in the Adamic sector. Our goal by the end of 2021 is to support and be part of the edition of two Academic Virtual Magazines together with the universities of Apurímac: Micaela Bastidas de Abancay National University (UNAMBA) and José María Arguedas de Andahuaylas National University (UNAJMA). Aware that the Quechua Culture and Language must be recognized as such and our work as Quechuas and Andeans that we are, we feel that it is our work as well.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

On September 25, 2015, world leaders adopted a set of global goals to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each objective has specific goals that must be achieved in the next 15 years.

To achieve these goals, everyone has to do their part: governments, the private sector, civil society, and people like you. That is why at Parwa Travel, we work to be part of the achievements of the goals set to improve the quality of life of all:
